The best pets to buy in an apartment

Pets in Apartments
Although many people think that when you live in an apartment, the options for pets are quite scarce or nonexistent, well, that is not really the case. There are many animals that can live happily in apartments, as long as you know how to take care of them properly.

I mean, you can even have dogs in apartments, as long as you still give them the proper exercise that some breeds require.

The main thing you want to make sure is that you check with your apartment to make sure pets are allowed, and if so, what pets are not allowed in the apartments. Some resorts allow pets, but may restrict as to what they may have exactly.

I had a friend, who had to have the department manager see all of his pets to decide whether or not he could have them in the apartment, because he was not sure what some of them were. So keep this in mind before bringing an animal to your apartment to discover that it is not allowed and you should look for another home. This can really stress a pet.

You should also make sure that you can pay the initial deposit of the pet plus the typical monthly pet fee that is usually associated with having a pet in an apartment.
Below is an incomplete list of pets that you can store in the apartments. If you have something you want to add, do not hesitate to add your opinions and opinions in the comment box at the bottom of the page. I am sure that there will be a number of animals that I will forget and leave aside.

Fish
I will start with a simple maintenance and move down the ladder to the most complicated pet.

The fish are simple, and you usually do not have to pay a pet deposit, unless you might want to start a really big fish tank and the complex is worried about a leak. Just want to ask the department manager first.

The options of the types of fish you want are infinite, as long as you make sure that the fish you choose gets along. IE does not want to have aggressive fish housed with fish from the community.

You can opt for a freshwater aquarium or a saltwater aquarium. I personally would not go to a saltwater aquarium unless I have experience in freshwater aquariums. If you do not and you really want a saltwater tank, I would be small.

Reptiles and amphibians
You can choose a series of different reptiles and amphibians, from small to large. Either way, most apartments will allow reptiles. You just want to check with your apartment manager before bringing something like a Burmese Python or anything else inside the apartment.

You may want to consider the following small to medium size reptiles and amphibians for your department to start:
• Frogs or toads
• Anoles
• Leopard Geckos
• Crested Geckos
• African fat tail geckos
• Gargoyles Geckos
• Bearded dragons
• Blue Skink language
• Uromastyx
• Ball Python
• Corn snake
• King Serpent
• Milk snake

Birds
When it comes to birds, you should make sure you get a smaller bird that does not make a lot of noise, which means that a huge parrot or macaw probably is not the best bird to have in an apartment.

Remember that the walls of the apartments are thin, and you do not want complaints of a squawking bird.

Some of the birds you may want to consider may include:
• Finches
• Canary Islands
• African grays (talkative but not noisy)
• Senagals
• Meyers
• Pionus
• Brownheads
Moderately strong and noisy birds may include:
• Alejandrinas
• Hawkheads
• Amazon
• Ringnecks
• Lories
• Eclectus Parrots
• Birds of love
• Cockatiels
• Quakers
• Budgies
• Parrotlets
• Cockatoos
• Macaws
• Conures

Small exotic animals

Small animal pets may be a bit more to care for when compared to fish or reptiles, but small animals can be an excellent pet for an apartment. There are some that you can choose from, just want to make sure that any exotic pet you are considering is legal in your state.

Some pets that you may want to consider include:
• Hamsters and gerbils
• Rabbits
•Guinea pigs
• Mice
• Rats
Pets that may be illegal may include:
• Ferrets
• Chinchillas
• Degus
• Hedgehogs
• Sugar Gliders
• skunks
Always remember to research before buying a pet.

Cats
Cats are an excellent pet apartment. They do not require much additional care in terms of training. As long as you can avoid scratching furniture and other things.

Cats are relatively small and do not require much extra space. You can easily keep two cats in a small apartment; because remember that cats love company.

Dogs
Actually, there are several dogs that work well in apartments, and where you may think that only small dogs can live happily in an apartment, it is really wrong.

In addition to the small breeds, here are some other breeds of dogs that you may consider living in an apartment:

Basset hound
Boxer
Bulldog
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Corgi
Galgos
Poodles
Standard Schnauzer

Just remember that when you live in an apartment with a dog, you should make sure that you continue exercising regularly, walking and taking care of yourself.
