Snakes on airplanes and pet safety!
Has anyone seen Snakes on a plane? If it does, it would
associate the feelings of anxiety and sadness of the wild animals or even of
the pets that do not have security or structure to avoid that they damage
themselves and others are released and cause damages and problems. For example,
imagine opening the suitcase compartment over your head in an airplane or train
and all these snaking and hissing snakes fall into your lap, ready to chew!
This first thought relates to what I want to share with all
of you good friends, since it took me by surprise today as I relaxed in the
chair of my computer with my flannel pajamas and a rabbit slipper, drinking my
coffee warm and awake while I read the news online and found an article that
surprised and made me sick, because a dog caused a plane to crash! A dog that
was not properly contained in a cage was released and caused a plane crash. How
terrible and tragic to read that story.
One of the worst things you can do with your partner and best
friend is not to keep them safe from harm.
Yesterday, when I returned home after the hot yoga
"bucarán", where you become a human pretzel, and you sweat enough to
create your own personal lake. I was walking home after my hour and a half of
torture, and I saw a pet dog pacing the sidewalk. Her mistress was right behind
her, a very well tanned and elegant lady, talking on her cell phone and
drinking her extra large, extra hot, two shots of fat-free vanilla syrup with
non-fat soy milk, I'm sure.
With a cold and distant attitude and complete disregard for
her pet pug, who walked slowly next to her, not very sure of her surroundings.
Being someone who loves animals and studies their behaviors, I could
immediately see that the animal was anxious and scared of all the traffic and
noise around it. And this disoriented puppy began to walk quickly down the
street when the girl finally noticed that her pet was lost. I could only watch
in horror when the cars stopped and honked when the poor animal crossed the
street, almost being run over by the approaching cars. Even a police car
stopped to scold the woman and also chase her poor pet while the animal ran
down the street. She could only hope that she was fined for such poor care and
behavior towards her pet.
I had to keep walking to get home, but I could only shake my
head with disgust and sadness for that poor animal and its owners, for the lack
of immature care. That's why it's so important to keep your pet safe and happy.
Always keep them on a leash, no matter how trained they are, since animals are unpredictable
and the same thing happens with everything else around them, that anything
could scare, excite or alter so that it comes out or even attacks.
